the death of iblogsadly when i had to reformat my hard drive recently (don't ask!) the iback up of the iblog ifile which keeps track of everything in the iblog idatabase proved to be hopelessly out of date - as usual when something goes wrong with this crap software it really proves how totally useless it really is and rebuilding the file proved less than satisfactory ... so : you guessed it : my experiment with iblog is well and truly over - if i could get the rupees and the hours and days of my life i have wasted on this completely useless software back i would be younger and richer but alas.... i think we are going to have to put it down to experience ... thus the "more" link below will actually take you to the good old ephemere blog on blogspot which is where i will be blogging exclusively from now on using the wonderful macjournal which is not really a blogging tool but it has a feature which allows you to publish to blogger - so : no more updates here ... please adjust your bookmarks! etc...... - they are selling copies of the hard to find woodstock diaries dvd for 14.95 - this is the real woodstock
festival (1969) not the sucky 1999 version and contains a bunch
of material which doesn't appear in the normal woodstock documentary - made for tv in 1994 the dvd consists
of three one hour parts each of which concentrates on one of the
days of the festival - footage of audience and performers is mixed
with some contemporary reminiscences from the organizers - total
running time nearly 180 minutes

quoted by sebastian smee in fantasy island weekend australian review 24.12.04 Tue - December 28, 2004 more what to do whilst marking student essays during a locust plague
well the locusts are here and a good essay is hard to find (although you could do worse than dip into best australian essays 2004 companion volume to the excellent best australian stories 2004 edited by frank moorhouse which features a story by wagga's own i.j.oog) and when marking student essays it is a good idea to have something else at hand the same time ... newcastle region art gallery 9/11/04 how many ideas does it take to make an artwork? the answer i would humbly suggest is : more than one - but perhaps the title of the festival which accompanies newcastle's electrofringe this is not art is apt what it more disturbing is that it takes two curators (gail priest and sumugan sivanesan) and 16 sponsors to enable this woeful rubbish to be exhibited Thu - November 11, 2004 more it's spelled "girl"
i previewed it what seems like a lifetime ago but now the new club diana album is out and you'd expect no less : it is a beauty - unfortunately the dutch goobers made a mistake with the spelling and so now the album is in the shop as "grill" ... ah well ... about éphémère ah who remembers them all? the joh.net blogs that come and the joh.net blogs that go... ephemera ephemeroids and then (now) éphémère : not the beer but the new new joh.net blog - now made experimenting with iblog (worth every rupee - well ... almost!)
(there is nothing wrong with that software that a proper user manual and about 10 billion development hours getting rid of some of those strange little idiosyncrasies couldn't fix but hey... it's cheaper than radio.userland and let's not even mention the evil blogger... oh i have to ... oh ok ... anyway blogger is great ...) éphémère@blogspot
because i still haven't figured out how to use iblog on more than one machine at a time ... i still make the occasional entry in éphémère@blogspot a blog i maintained on a more or less daily basis when i was in europe during december and january 03/04 - all of the entries will eventually make their way into the jnl or other éphémère departments at the present location ....
