newcastle region art gallery 9/11/04 how many ideas does it take to make an artwork? the answer i would humbly suggest is : more than one - but perhaps the title of the festival which accompanies newcastle's electrofringe this is not art is apt what it more disturbing is that it takes two curators (gail priest and sumugan sivanesan) and 16 sponsors to enable this woeful rubbish to be exhibited Posted at 06:13 PM more Wed - October 6, 2004Fri - October 1, 2004hitler : a film from germanyhmm you can download the entire 7 hours of

excited by holland's victories in the european soccer
championship and barry hall's performance in the sydney swans victory against the most annoying
team in the afl (collingwood) at telstra stadium whilst i was away but since
this is the éphémère art department i'd
better report on the sydney biennale

almond is a yba (young british artist) one of the lesser known names
from the sensation
show - unlike his dodgy mate damien hirst this talentless no hoper was dropped
like a brick by charles saatchi and god knows why an example of his derivative
rubbish had to be dragged across the globe at the tax payers' expense by rachel
kent senior curator at the museum of
contemporary art in sydney for a show called witness which supposedly
"investigates ideas and notions of memory, how memory changes over time and how
interpretations of history are shaped and created..."

which i had been looking forward to ever since i heard that nicole kidman was to
play the lead in the new lars von trier - or i guess as a big von trier fan i
start looking forward to his new film as soon as the credits are rolling for the
current one

about éphémère ah who remembers them all? the joh.net blogs that come and the joh.net blogs that go... ephemera ephemeroids and then (now) éphémère : not the beer but the new new joh.net blog - now made experimenting with iblog (worth every rupee - well ... almost!)
(there is nothing wrong with that software that a proper user manual and about 10 billion development hours getting rid of some of those strange little idiosyncrasies couldn't fix but hey... it's cheaper than radio.userland and let's not even mention the evil blogger... oh i have to ... oh ok ... anyway blogger is great ...) éphémère@blogspot
because i still haven't figured out how to use iblog on more than one machine at a time ... i still make the occasional entry in éphémère@blogspot a blog i maintained on a more or less daily basis when i was in europe during december and january 03/04 - all of the entries will eventually make their way into the jnl or other éphémère departments at the present location ....
